Michelle Pruitt, or Pruitt as she goes by her last name, is a change agent and strategist bridging tactical and strategic PaaS and SaaS across product and engineering teams. She enjoys translating complex business concepts and objectives into business strategies, leading successful execution, and delivering on driving cultural evolution. Pruitt develops trusted relationships with key technology, business, and functional leaders, creating collaborative and fun team environments that inspire ownership, innovation, and learning while removing obstacles that slow delivery and impact.

As Director of Engineering Strategy and Planning within Microsoft’s Commerce + Ecosystems (Cloud + AI), Pruitt is responsible for modernizing 1st and 3rd-party seller experiences across multiple engineering teams. Previously, Pruitt served as a Principal PM for Microsoft Cloud for Retail Solution Engineering owning the strategy and roadmap. Prior to Microsoft, she held roles within Fortune 100s, SMBs, and non-profits spanning product management, product marketing, public relations, strategy, and operations.

Pruitt also serves on the board of advisors for Women in Cloud and Career Climb influencing public policy for gender equity and coaching women in technology. Her professional philosophy is to advocate, educate, enable, and evolve.

Her kindergarten self would tell you she wanted to be a mechanic. That fascination with how things work and the creative aspect of problem-solving remains today. In her free time, Pruitt enjoys live concerts across all genres and the sense of community music creates.
