You’re an incredible product manager. But, you’re stuck…how do you up-level from Individual Contributor (IC) into a coveted Director role? We can help you!
Esteemed guest speaker Ian McAllister joins Women in Product July 26 for a live, in-person event at Bellevue Public Library where he’ll lay out the path from IC to leadership. Ian is currently Senior Director of Product for vehicles at Uber, and he formerly held product leadership roles at Amazon and Airbnb. During his career, Ian has managed more than a hundred product managers, and he has seen what works (and what doesn’t), when it comes to career advancement.
In this moderated Q&A session, Ian will speak to some of the common pitfalls in moving from IC to leadership; how women in particular can navigate this move; and what skills, behaviors, and types of mindsets are needed. This is geared towards mid-career PMs, but note, that all are welcome.
We are so happy to host Ian. Outside of work, Ian has appeared on Lenny’s podcast and is known for an influential substack post:What distinguishes the Top 1% of product managers from the Top 10%?
The event is free, but please RSVP.
Event venue is Bellevue Public Library. Parking is free.
