WIP Toronto | Life of a Product Executive

Women in Product Toronto in partnership with Versett will be hosting an in person Summer 2023 event on Thursday July 20, 2023 focused on answering the question – what is it like to be a product executive?
Whether you’re just starting out in your product journey, or you’ve been working a couple of years, or if you’re interested in seeing how other Product leaders run their teams – this event is for you. We’ll be speaking with two very accomplished product executives, Cara Yarzab, VP of Product at Axonify and Amber Foucault, VP Product, North America at Ceridian on how they get to where they are and the challenges they’ve faced along the way like working in male-dominated industries and balancing work and caregiving. You’ll also get to learn more about what a typical (or not so typical) day in the life of a product executive looks like, and get some tips on how to create mentors and allies for yourself to level up in your career.

Cara Yarzab is the VP of Product at Axonify.
In her role as Vice President of Product, Cara leads a talented team of product managers responsible for delivering new products to serve customers better.
Before joining Axonify, she helped organizations like TVO, D2L, Prodigy Education and Outschool transform their businesses through new product offerings.
Outside of work Cara is a volunteer with Girl Guides of Canada and sits on the board of directors for Access Copyright.
Amber Foucault is the VP Product, North America at Ceridian.
She is using her product mindset to approach strategic solutions for their mobile B2C product offering and B2B data products. With the launch of over 70 products under her belt, her specialty is turning big ideas into measured action. Amber has led teams in product, design, strategy, customer support and more, drawing expertise from each build and creating strong cross-functional communication that solves problems and builds processes to ensure execution is always possible.
