What I valued the most was meeting other PMs in similar positions and specifically, getting validation that I wasn’t alone. I also enjoyed helping others through peer coaching, which fed into my own confidence in my performance.
EXECUTIVE EDGE
Applications are closed
Executive Edge is an Accelerated Leadership Program for women in product, in collaboration with Athena Alliance, with the goal of reaching 50% representation as Chief Product Officers within the next 6 years. This program is in collaboration with Athena Alliance, an executive and learning community that has supported hundreds of women to the C-Suite.
It’s a 1-year comprehensive program that aims to equip women product leaders with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to excel in executive and C-Suite roles within the product management domain.
I was recently promoted to Chief People Officer at Quinstreet. Athena, the stories I heard, and the women in the community I connected to helped me have the confidence to push forward and make it to C-suite at a public company.
Athena helped me find and articulate my value clearly and gave me the confidence I needed to ask for what I wanted. It is an incredible community with high-quality programming and is a huge value add to me and the women of Quinstreet. It’s truly something special.
Mentorship
The guidance, encouragement and support given by a trusted and experienced mentor can provide a broad range of personal and professional benefits that ultimately lead to improved performance and advancement in the workplace.
We seek to strengthen and build our network of product professionals by connecting members so they can gain skills and confidence needed to excel.
Check our events calendar for upcoming opportunities to meet a potential Mentor or Mentee.
When I work with my mentees, we often focus on their professional development, assisting them in overcoming any challenges they have and guiding them through my own life experiences. I have had great mentors and coaches along my journey to this moment. As women, we all face similar obstacles. This is not my journey; it is ours.

Our takeaways? Mentoring is a safe, judgment-free zone. It requires commitment. It’s a delicate balance.
