Executive Edge is your transformative pathway to realizing those ambitions.
Women In Product, in collaboration with the Athena Alliance, is launching the second cohort of Executive Edge.

This is a 1-year comprehensive program that aims to equip women and non-binary product leaders with the skills, knowledge, network, and mindset necessary to excel in executive and C-Suite roles within the product management domain.

Price: $3,900

Eligibility:

This is a paid program for product executives with a desire to reach the C-Suite with a current title of:

VP, Sr. VP (or equivalent) at any size org, or
Director, Sr. Director (or equivalent) at organizations with 10,000+ employees

THE PRODUCT COHORT EXPERIENCE

You’ll be a part of a community of other VPs of Product where you’ll have opportunities for peer exchange, mentoring from the Women In Product Executive Council, Athena’s Executive mentors, a private Slack channel, and more.

An Executive Edge Council will be available throughout the program for networking, mentorship, guidance, and advice. The Council is a group of highly accomplished product leaders, who will play a crucial role in selecting top applicants for the program, and work with them to accelerate their growth to the C-Suite.

The Athena Alliance Peer Groups are spaces designed for members to connect and exchange thoughts and ideas around shared interests. They offer a platform for guidance, lessons learned, and insights among peers. These groups focus on various topics relevant to female leaders, such as People and Culture, Women in Venture, and Succeeding in Your First Board Role.

Access to Transformational Coaching

Athena offers three- and six-month coaching sprints designed to help women reach their goals. Executive Edge participants have the opportunity to work with coaches like Jocelyn King and others. Members may purchase coaching sprints or pay on an hourly basis.

Leveraging her experience spanning a decade in successful startup exits and a decade in enterprise high-tech at companies like Intel, Jocelyn brings her expertise in multinational marketing, sales growth, and global team leadership to guide executives on their journeys.
Jocelyn works with Athena women to help them clarify where they are in their careers and where they want to be to strategically map the shortest, most timely distance between the two. She’s helped hundreds of women get hired, promoted, awarded, and funded.

Private Learning Salons & TOPICS

You’ll access private learning events with others in the exclusive Executive Edge cohort that will help you step by step on your path to the C-suite, hosted by top product leaders who have “been there, done that.” Many of these events will be specifically geared toward leaders with a product background, with topics like:

  • Developing Sponsors to Advance Your Career
  • Product Led Company Transformation
  • The Art of Strategic Career Moves

You’ll walk away with:

A unique value proposition and plan that moves you toward your career goals. You’ll have a peer group to provide you with feedback and support, as well as the materials and connections to set you up for success. You’ll have a clear plan for your professional development goals and the confidence to pursue them.

Selected participants will have the chance to be recommended to partnering executive search firms, venture capital and private equity firms, as well as companies searching for C-level candidates.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process is designed not only to get to know the applicant’s background and qualifications, but also to get some insight into the program fit, readiness, goal alignment, and chance for successful outcomes.

We want to ensure that everyone has an understanding of the growth opportunities afforded by the program and has the right mindset to get the most out of the experience.
